Drones was funded with $30,000 from borrowed equipment, bank loans, sponsorship from F-SECURE, and contributions from family and friends. Indiegogo made a crowdfunding campaign for the production possible. Unfortunately, it did not reach its goal, but it was a very welcome help to cover all the expenses involved in making a short film like this. We learned that crowdfunding is not an easy task and requires 100% attention… and many friends.
